Stay at Khankah SAM
Just "passing through" on your West Coast Adventure? Looking for a place to settle in for a week while you explore innwardly and outwardly? Maybe you'd like to dive deeper into our community and stay for a month (or even two or three)? Regardless, you will be welcome at the Khankah SAM Guest House, in the heart of San Francisco, where all of our guests are invited to join us in our daily practices, programs and classes.
Our Guest House, also called the Upper House, is at 65 Norwich Street, in the Bernal Heights area, just south of the famous Mission District in San Francisco. We are close to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and within easy access, via good public transportation, to everything San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer, including vibrant Sufi communities and activities.
The Guest House has five private bedrooms, with different configurations of single and double beds. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. Each floor has a shared bathroom with a tub and shower. Our guests are welcome to share the fully equipped kitchen and dining area with the Khankah residents. Breakfast makings, coffees, teas and other staples are available for your use and included in your fees. On the deck outside enjoy the hot tub overlooking the city lights, under the stars or first thing in the morning.

"I stayed for a month. And it was a profoundly healing, divinely inspirational visit. Privacy when needed, community and meals shared frequently, but best of all was practice at 6pm where we sang and studied with the angels! My heart takes flight when I think of you all. Thank you once again for holding open this door of compassionate light."
"It was such a delight to stay at Khankah Sam again. To be so far from home but surrounded by such Love! I had stayed there 2 years ago… the Love was the same but the accommodations were much different. It was so much fun for me to go room to room and see the beautiful transformations that had happened in each space! The walls in every room have been painted, floors redone, new beds, curtains, bedspreads etc. Just beautiful! I did much ooohing and aaahing! And the gardens are glorious! And soaking in the new hottub at night while looking out over the city lights was magnificent!
We were fortunate enough to be there for a Sufi jam session and potluck hosted by Halim and Vakila on Saturday and also the weekly Tuesday potluck and practice session for next weeks dance. Wali Ali’s daughter and grandchildren surprised him by showing up at the potluck. So sweet to Eat, Dance and Pray with beloveds!"

"I only spent one night at the KSAM Guest House but I enjoyed my experience there. I got in late at night and I was given a tour and made comfortable right away. The room and bed were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with great food. The space is beautiful and I would stay there again when I come back to San Francisco."
