This is Kristy Marie Nur Jehan Chisti here. I am honored to serve as the Spiritual Director for this coming camp! The 44th Fall Ozark Sufi Camp October 9th through the 13th. This camp's theme is 'Remember, we are All Children of God, through Life, Breath and Death'. This theme is inspired by the contemplation I have been actively engaging in with the Next Generation Council for the DUPNA over the past 3 years. We have been exploring how to carry our beloved tradition forward into the next generations. This complex process involves not only listening to what the tradition is and has been—where the roots are nurtured by long-standing truths that never change—but also listening to the needs of the hearts in our current and changing times and for future generations.

Regardless of our age, we are all children of God. I aim to focus on the inner child in all of us so that we might discover and harvest the wisdom within regarding our deepest needs.

Gavin Jakobi has been coming to Ozark Sufi Camp since he was a young child. He did his first seva jobs helping out in the kitchen and helping set up and tear down camp. His heart has always been to be of service aiming to help keep the ship running smoothly.

He looks forward to continuing being of service, as this Fall Camp’s Manager!

Thank You, Gavin!
