Course 3: Mushahida requires completion of both Course 1 and 2 (or of the previoius 21-month version of God is Breath). Continuing to work with many of the practices from the previous two courses, this course focuses on gaining deeper experience with the full Shaghal breath practice and introduces the Mushahida Contemplation, also called the Awe-Filled Contemplation.
Mushahida, or the Awe-Filled Contemplation, uses a similar process to the Mujahida Concentration-Meditation, but takes the expanded and deeper point of view that whatever impressions and experiences that seem to be arising within the individual heart of our own personal embodiment are also arising within the Heart of Allah-God-Goddess-Source.
These 2 apparently different manifestations of heart are in reality the same thing, two sides of the same coin. This contemplation requires the aligning, the merging, and ultimately the identifying our personal embodied heart space with the Heart of Allah.
One Sentence Glosses on Mujahida and Mushahida
Here's what Murshid Wali Ali says in a course 3 video, in response to a request for clarification between Mujahida and Mushahida:
Mujahida is the process of overcoming all the deluding emotions — and similarly disarming all our outer judgments about them, by rooting out the seeds in ourselves and becoming empty.
Mushahida is the awakening, in the Heart of Emptiness, of all the senses simultaneously, such that we are the eyes and ears of the Divine Reality Itself and the Cosmic Actor in the Universe.
