Prayer and the God Ideal
The materials for each class consist of a combination of audio recordings and documents.
Description
"Prayer and the God Ideal offers a way for the mureed to begin their journey on the spiritual path. It provides an introduction to the Sufi path of self-realization, a path that places the God reality in the very center, and asks each one to shape a God Ideal creatively. This study is taken up in the context of the wisdom of our root teachers. Clearing ingrained and inherited perceptions of God that do not serve, forming a personal relationship with God and developing a practice of prayer are the foundations of this course of study." - Murshid Wali Ali Meyer
These classes were offered by Murshid Wali Ali Meyer in 2003 in San Rafael, California to a group of committed mureeds. The immeasurable benefit of practicing and studying with a partner or small group of people has been seen in previous classes provided in this format. Having the support of loving hearts in shared purpose can ease some of the challenges that face even the most committed practitioner. At the same time, a devoted student can work with this class on their own.
