By Shivadam

I ask the night sky
What is the sound of moonlight

The breeze lightly whispers
star songs in dark branches

Thick silence holds meShivadam poem pic 400
A seed trapped in amber

A tree's tears and its gift
Suspended in time

Rolled and tumbled
In Earth's living soil

Virgin in softening rains
Kissed by golden sunlight

This wondering longing
Enclosed in a dream

Where rainbows dance
Leaves into song

And toes reach like fingers
Down into the floor

Searching for you
Beyond stones and water

Reaching nearly to
The other side of the world

A full moon calls me out
Into the pouring rain

To dance in the street
With arms stretched toward the sky

And through reflections
On the surface of wet amber eyes

I see your shining face
Smiling into me like the Sun
